Judging Panel & Criteria
The B.Org Design Award judges panel is made up of some of the best designers in the world.  It is composed of Ken Johnson, Fiely Matias, Camilla Eriksson, Kitty Roach, John Hilton, Douglas "Badger" Barnhart, Curtis "Denton" Holloway, Artie Romero, and Frode Berge. Each of the judges panel has the authority to bestow the award themselves, but most will be awarded by a combination of the panel.  Click on the panel member's name to learn more about their accomplishments.  All of the three levels of awards are VERY HARD to win.  These are not daily awards, they will be given as people who sites are worthy of them apply for the award.  Remember, only 5% of sites that submit, receive any award at all.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

If your site is an Adult Site, MLM, or just a collection of links, don't bother to apply.  If you are being hosted on one of those free sites that likes to pop up an advertising window, keep it on your page instead, if you want to win.  The primary focus of these awards is design, but you must also have good content as well. We do accept sites done with Flash, Shockwave, DHTML, CSS, and other technologies.  Sites with broken links or code that only works in specific browsers will not even be  considered.  We do award both commercial and personal sites.  If you win, a link back to our site is not required, but it is appreciated.

borg_awardgs.gif (6561 bytes) B.Org Gold Award
This is the pinnacle of the B.Org Awards, and is given only to those sites that show the highest degree of professionalism, as well as new and innovative design techniques.  All of this must be accomplished with reasonable load times, and absolute browser compatibility. If you win a Gold award, you have the option of supplying us with a graphic for the link to your site on the Winners page.  It is required to be the standard small button size of 88 pixels wide, and 31 pixels high, and can be no larger than 6K. You also get a description of your site in the winners listings, along with a link. Only one in a thousand applicants receive this prestigious award.

borg_awardss.gif (6527 bytes) B.Org Siver Award
The silver award is given to those sites that show a very high degree of professionalism and good design, but are not breaking any new barriers in layout.  Site content that is not up to gold level, could also drop an otherwise gold site to a silver site award. You get a description of your site and a link in the Winner's Gallery with the silver award.

borg_awardbs.gif (6756 bytes) B.Org Bronze Award
The bronze award is for sites that are still professional in layout and design, with reasonable content, but are flawed in one area.  Often times, poor navigation, or slow load times could cause this.   They are still very good sites, and even this award is hard to win.  You get only a listing and a link with the bronze award.
